NPR Show Inspired by Brendan and His Friends

Be sure to check out the NPR show, On Point, Tuesday July 26th from 11 am to noon (EST). It will be an hour focused on young adults and loss. This segment is inspired by Brendan and will feature two of Brendan's friends, Rachel Kopilow and Tommy Hester. Brain Cancer Grant

Thanks to your generous contributions the Brendan Ogg Memorial Fund has made one of its grants to support the work of Dr. Jim Olson at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.  Dr. Olson will direct our gift into a project that specifically builds brain cancer cell models from young adults that will be distributed worldwide for studies. At Dr. Olson's suggestion "we [will] honor Brendan by sharing that this project is in his memory". We will continue to find ways to use Brendan's fund to honor him and his interests as well as the disease that took his

Exciting News!

We are pleased to announce that Words as Legacy has been invited to exhibit at ArtPrize in Grand Rapids, Michigan. ArtPrize® is an international competition with no jury or curator. The public votes on the top 10 pieces and eventually the overall winner. The event will take place September 21 to October 9, 2011 in Grand Rapids, with $449,000 in prizes, and $250,000 for first place.
